WPML Media Translation Addon allows you to choose images and other media for translated content. With WPML Media Translation Add-on, You will be able to provide alternate images for content in different languages and translate meta-texts for those images.
When to Use WPML Media Translation Addon
Use WPML’s Media Translation when:
- You are using Translation Management.
- You need to show different images for translations.
Some of your content may contain images with text (e.g. screen shots of user interface elements) that need to be presented in different languages.
This page has a large screenshot that includes text. When translating this page into Spanish, we would like to include a screenshot of the WordPress administration where the text in the image is in Spanish.
The Media Translation Plugin allows you to upload “replacement” images for different translations. In this way, you can translate the texts on the WPML translation management page and provide substitute images for the images whose text needs to be translated.
If you need to display images with content that you have translated using WPML translation management, you should never manually edit that content using the WordPress “post editor”. If you do this, your edits will be lost the next time you update this content using translation management.
